Prime Minister Urging for Display of Estonia Pride
The Prime Minister of Estonia wants to advocate for the preservation of peace in Estonia by showing a display of Estonian pride.
Regarding this matter, the Prime Minister states,"As a demonstration of the continuing solidarity of the Estonian Republic and the preservation of peace in our country, I am declaring today international peace day. In memory of the Baltic Way, which in 1989 united Baltic peoples in a common, nonviolent force for good, I am requesting that all Estonians and supporters of Estonia raise their flags, with the hope that negotiations and discussion can persevere rather than the cruel continuance of violence. It would be a tragedy and a crime for all those involved to loose Estonian autonomy during 2018, the centennial of Estonian independence."
