Amnesty International: Press Release

PRESS RELEASE:

On going ethnic conflict in Estonia has caused tremendous harm to civilians. The Estonian government’s response to conflict in the border city of Narva has added to this problem. Temporary camps in Jõhvi are facing shortages of necessities, including food and potable water. A lack of sewage systems has caused many vulnerable populations, including young children to become ill. There are possible reports of deaths. Amnesty International calls upon Estonian and the European Union to address this humanitarian crisis.
