Kaljulaid Announces That Missing Ambassador Has Been Found Dead
The President of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid, makes public announcement to press. She explains that the ambassador has been found at the border dead due to injuries sustained during his kidnapping. The Estonian Government has apprehended the drivers, of Russian nationality, and is currently investigating the motivations and conditions for his kidnapping. Kaljulaid also added that she hoped the US government would amplify their collaboration with the Estonian Government in the investigation, and emphasized continuing solidarity among the people of Estonia, "whether Russian, English, Estonian, or speaking other languages, united by our shared interests in the clarification of this matter."
