BREAKING: NUCLEAR PLANT MELTDOWN IN LENINGRAD
Earlier today, a nuclear power plant in Leningrad exploded in a fatal incident. The plant has gone critical, with over 50 people dying in the initial explosion.
A complete meltdown of the plant holds dire consequences for the environment and Russian citizens. In addition to the known effects that prolonged radiation has on the human body, the power plant is near the Gulf of Finland, and if material from the power plant gets into the body of water, it could have devastating effects on the environment.
While foreign interference is suspected by the Russian government, there is not yet proof that foreign actors were involved. RT will update as more information comes in.
