The Rise of Peleism: How an Obscure Religion Has Gained Global Attention

Following a year of intense conflict within the states of South America begun by religious tension surrounding the adoption of Peleism as the official religion of Venezuela and Brazil, the last non-Peleist state in South America, Suriname has officially adopted Peleism as its state religion.  The People's Republic of China has been facilitating peace talks with states in South America that have culminated in the creation of the newly formed Union of South American Socialist Republics.  The Russian Federation has reached out to USASR and has officially established diplomatic relations with the Union.

President Putin revealed in an exclusive interview, "we are pleased to see the end to this bloody year long conflict, and look forward to working with USASR in the future".
